The murder trial for John Robinson heard from his ex-wife all day Thursday. Defence Anik Morrow explored the relationship witness Sharon Ellery had with Robinson. Ellery was married to Robinson until 2007 when they split after he attempted suicide among other issues. Morrow asked about her statement to police in which she described the phone call she received from Robinson on November 8th, 2008. She said he called her around 2am and they talked for almost 2 hours. This is when she says he told her about the murder of Clifford Fair. A few days later Ellery talked to police. Morrow examined these past conversations comparing them to what has been heard in court. Any differences, Ellery has called paraphrasing. She did agree, however that the conversation was long, had a lot of information, and was a lot to remember. Court resumes Friday morning at 10am with a new witness taking the stand.
