People in Brant County are encouraged to vote for their favourite business across six award categories. The registration opens on July 2nd and the nomination forms are due by July 30th.
BRANT COUNTY - Brant County residents will be able to nominate their favourite local business.
The nominations are a part of the 18th annual Salute to Brant Business in September. Residents can vote across six award categories.
The six award categories include:
- Agriculture/Agri-business – Recognize leaders in local agriculture (production and/or distribution).
- Community Influencer – Recognize businesses who are involved in their community through public consultations, community programs and services, etc.
- #GoodTimesInBrant – Recognize businesses that provide significant contribution as tourism destinations, are marketing and social media advocates, as well as, having a positive economic and community impact.
- High Growth – Recognize businesses that have expanded the size of their building, employees and/or sales. Nominees will be judged for year over year growth for the past two years.
- Innovation – Recognize businesses that have demonstrated innovation in product process development or research.
- Sustainability as sponsored by Brant Municipal Enterprises – Recognize businesses that embrace sustainable daily operation practices. The winner will have demonstrated leadership in the areas of energy efficiency, climate change mitigation and an emphasis on supporting local business.
The event sold out last year, attracting over 250 people from a variety of local businesses. Howell Road Cider Co., Steel Wheel Brewery, Mash Paddle Brewing and Bonnieheath Estates are among this year's local vendors.
