Environment Canada says we could be in for thunderstorms today in Oxford County.
OXFORD - It is expected to be a stormy day in Oxford County.
Environment Canada has issued a yellow watch for severe thunderstorms, which could also bring strong winds, torrential downpours and ping-pong-ball-sized hail. It's forecasting for wind gusts between 90 and 110 kilometres per hour.
Environment Canada says it's best to stay inside as much as possible, because lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. However, it is a good idea to secure loose objects so the strong winds don't blow them away. If you have to drive anywhere today, make sure you prepare for difficult road conditions.
Environment Canada says thunderstorms could arrive late this afternoon into this evening in Ontario.
