Lots of schools in Oxford County are closed today due to the weather.
OXFORD - It appears winter has returned to Oxford County.
Environment Canada has issued a yellow warning for snowfall with the possibility of 10 to 20 centimetres of snow in the forecast. It should continue through this morning and afternoon, before it starts to taper off in the evening.
The snow could be heavy at times and we could also see some blowing snow, which could impact your visibility on the roads out there. If you have to go anywhere today, make sure you drive carefully and prepare for messy road conditions.
Southwestern Ontario Student Transportation Services has cancelled all of the buses for TVDSB and LDCSB students. Both school boards have also announced that their schools will be closed today due to the weather. Woodstock Christian School is closed today as well.
Francobus has also cancelled the buses for students going to Sainte-Marguerite-Bourgeoys and Notre Dame in Woodstock. We have received word that those schools are also closed today.
