The SIU has cleared an Oxford OPP officer and commended him for saving a man's life.
WOODSTOCK - The Special Investigations Unit has cleared an Oxford OPP officer and credits him for saving a man's life.
The SIU was investigating after a 66 year old man suffered serious injuries when he was pinned under his own vehicle back on January 28th of this year. Prior to being pinned the man had been pulled over by the OPP officer on the 401 near Woodstock.
Anytime a person is injured while in police custody the SIU is called in to investigate. In this case they determined the officer did nothing wrong and should be commended for his quick actions in saving this mans life.
