The SIU found no reasonable grounds to charge a Woodstock Police officer.
WOODSTOCK - The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) has terminated its investigation into the arrest of a motorcyclist in Woodstock.
Officials say there was a struggle as Woodstock Police made the arrest at a gas station on September 18th, 2025. The suspect was tackled after he attempted to flee from police and was later diagnosed with a left ankle fracture in hospital.
The SIU has found no reasonable grounds to believe that the officer committed a criminal offence in connection with the man’s arrest and injury.
The SIU investigates incidents with police that result in death, serious injury, sexual assault, and/or discharge of a firearm.
