Drivers are being warned about falling into a 'sunny daze' as we enjoy another day of warm, sunny weather.
While people are looking forward to the warm sunny weather continuing this week, this kind of great weather can be distracting on the roadways.
It's known as the 'Sunny Daze' and collisions can increase due to more traffic and distractions along the road.
OPP Constable Stacey Culbert says drivers need to keep their eyes sharp.
"The increased traffic includes bicycles as well out there so make sure that the drivers are aware of that and sharing the road with the pedestrians as well as cyclists out there."
Culbert says drivers need to be disciplined and keep their eyes on the road.
"Because there's an increase on the roadways, people with the Sunny Daze might not be paying as much attention to the roadways because of the outside attraction of looking at the sun, maybe there's some wildlife that's coming out to look for food. So we have to be really aware of the increase in traffic."
She also recommends making sure the sun visors in your vehicle are in proper working order, and sunglasses are an easy way to cut down on glare.
