Nobody was home during a house fire in Otterville that caused significant damage.
OTTERVILLE - Nobody was injured after a house caught fire on John Street in Otterville.
Emergency crews were called to the home on Wednesday afternoon after a passerby noticed smoke coming from the home and called for help. No one was home during the blaze. The Township of Norwich Fire Department rushed to the scene to put out the fire.
Damage to the home is estimated to be between $30,000 and $40,000.
The cause of the fire is being treated as suspicious and the Ontario Fire Marshal is investigating.
