Test driving a Ford in Woodstock will help Winchester Street Public School support their wrestling and music programs, and buy new equipment.
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Ford Dealership is hosting their Drive 4UR School Program Saturday May 7th supporting Winchester Street Public School.
For every person who test drives a Ford between 9 am and 3 pm, the dealership will donate $20 toward the school. The school will then use the funds they receive to help support their music and wrestling programs, introduce new technology in their classrooms, as well as replacing some furniture and outdoor equipment.
General Sales Manager Cameron Graham says there will also be lots of fun things to do at the dealership that day as well.
"We also have a lot of extra activities being a bouncy castle, we're going to have a fire truck and police car here as well, Lions Club is going to be selling burgers for a little extra of their side for their fundraisers as well."
There will also be a barbeque, a car wash, a bake sale, and Winchester Street Public School will be doing a robot demonstration.
Ford Canada has been holding these fundraisers at their dealerships nationwide since 2010 and has raised $6,000,000 for schools and charities. This year, some of the proceeds made will also benefit communities in Kenya and women in Ethiopia through Girls Gotta Run.
The Woodstock Ford Dealership is located at 1455 Dundas Street East.
