WOODSTOCK - The CP Holiday Train rolls into the Friendly City again this year.
The event will go on 199 Winniett St Friday evening at 6:50, where audiences will see a performance by Great Big Sea's Alan Doyle & Beautiful Band!
The event began over 20 years ago to raise money and donate food to local banks, along with raising spirits in the community ahead of Christmas. It has since raised over $13 million dollars and over four million pounds of food across local communities.
The U.S train is set to leave on November 25th from Montreal with Doyle performing in communities in New York and Southern Ontario. The tour will continue in Chicago with performances from Canadian artists Meghan Patrick, Tanika Charles and Kelly Prescott.
The train will leave in Montreal the next day, making stops west of Vancouver.
The Salvation Army will be collecting food donations before and after the event.
To find out when the CP Train will make a stop in your town, you can head to their website.
The CP Holiday Train ends on December 18th.
