The CMHA Oxford will be hosting an exciting hockey game between the Maple Leaf Alumni and the Oxford County Stars.
WOODSTOCK - The Canadian Mental Health Association Oxford is happy to host a very exciting NHL alumni game.
CMHA Oxford Executive Director Mike McMahon says he thinks people will be very excited to see these particular alumni. "CMHA has previously hosted an NHL alumni game in the city and we've worked for a couple of years to get a hold of the Maple Leafs Alumni - Maple Leafs have a big following in Oxford and we're very pleased to announce the Maple Leafs alumni team will be at the Woodstock And District Community Complex March 5th for a 7:00 p.m. start."
A group of people from Oxford County will be lacing up along with the Maple Leaf Alumni. "The Oxford County Stars - a collection of hockey players from around the county who either came to us through their organization that has organized for them to take part in this event - we also have the opportunity to welcome players who have reached out to us to say they'd love to play against the Leafs," McMahon says. "The opportunity does come with a fee that helps us to provide this event."
McMahon says tickets for this event go on sale Monday, December 14. "We also have online packages available for VIPs. VIPs will attend the game in a reserved seat and be welcome at an autograph reception following the game. And also online we offer a team ticket for minor hockey and girls' teams or other sports team that might want to purchase. And that's for up to 15 individuals for a discounted price."
Tickets can be bought online at cmhaoxford.on.ca or by calling the CMHA Oxford Branch at 519-539-8055 x200.
