Three men were charged with impaired driving on Sunday including one man driving his tractor in Ingersoll.
It was a busy Sunday for Oxford OPP who nabbed three people for impaired driving.
The first case happened when police were called to the Spring Lake RV Park on Prouse Road on Sunday morning at 1:30 a.m. OPP were contacted by a concerned citizen who noticed an erratic driver who pulled into the Park and parked just inside the gates. After a quick check on the man the concerned citizen called police who arrived at the scene a short while later. They ended up charging a 58 year old from Tillsonburg with Care and Control of a Motor Vehicle with an alcohol level over 80 mgs, and impaired driving.
The next impaired driver was picked up at 2:10 a.m. on Oxford Street in Tillsonburg. A 40 year old man from Norfolk was arrested at the scene and charged with driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in his blood and driving while impaired.
Then on Sunday night OPP pulled over a man on his tractor in Ingersoll in Kensington Park. Police were alerted to the man after getting word of him driving his tractor on the roadway and into the park in the area of Mutual Street. The 43 year old tractor driver from Ingersoll was arrested at the scene and charged with impaired driving.
In all the above mentioned incidents the charged drivers had their driver’s licences suspended for 90 days and their vehicles impounded for 7 days. Even the tractor was impounded.
