A man from Tillsonburg will be taking part in a 26 storey rappel to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation
TILLSONBURG - A man from Tillsonburg is one of 76 people who will rappel 26 storeys down the London City Centre to help support the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Andrew Temple needs to raise $1,500 to qualify and he is already over half the way there. He tells Heart FM why he decided join the Rope for Hope event in London after talking about it with a co-worker.
"He mentioned that his grandson who has hemophilia was granted a wish a few years back and told me all about the organization and told me if you do this I will make the first donation of $100."
He is also doing it in memory of his father Jim Temple who passed away earlier this year after a bicycle accident. Temple admits he is a little scared of heights and is very nervous for the big day coming up on June 17th.
"I'm not great with heights and I figure it will get worst once I'm at the top, I had a practice run at a rock climbing facility indoors which was about two stories."
Temple needs to raise at least $1,500 to participate in the event and so far has already brought in close to $1,000. You can donated to his cause online at https://cause2give.unxvision.com/P2PWeb/Default.aspx?EventId=825&LanguageId=1
