This year’s time to change minds event will take place at College Avenue Secondary School Sunday May 1st.
WOODSTOCK - The 4th Annual Time 2 Change Minds event will support awareness and stamp out the stigma surrounding mental illness.
It is all taking place at the College Avenue Secondary School track on Sunday May 1st from 12pm to 4 p.m. Executive Director of the Canadian Mental Health Association of Oxford County Mike McMahon tells Heart FM they hope to see everyone there.
"Time 2 Change Minds Walk an event to create awareness and hopefully eradicate the stigma related to mental illness in our community, outside our community and for people who are coming it is not a walk-a-thon, it's a walk for health, walk for mental health, walk for your friends, come for a walk, it's not a competitive event in any way."
You can register the day of to walk the track and a number of teams have already signed on to compete in their mini community challenge games. Teams do need to have a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 10 people at a cost of $100 per team.
