The Town of Tillsonburg will start posting daily COVID-19 bulletins on the Town's web site.
TILLSONBURG - The Town of Tillsonburg will start posting daily COVID-19 bulletins on the Town's web site.
Mayor Stephen Molnar made the announcement today. You can read the bulletins online here. Molnar says it is important to keep residents up to date.
“In this time of crisis, regular communication with residents, businesses and community stakeholders is critical. This is a very fluid situation. Delivering concise, accurate information about what’s happening locally is essential.”
The bulletins will be issued once a day, and will take a digest format—briefly highlighting changes in service levels at Town facilities, and sharing information and resources from other community partners. Molnar says they want to make sure residents are getting factual information.
“There’s a lot of misinformation out there and people are understandably anxious. I want to assure our community that Council and staff are working hard to find creative ways to meet the economic and social challenges arising from COVID-19 and will continue to do so in the coming weeks and months.”
Mayor Molnar also announced a new covid19@tillsonburg.ca email address.
“If people have questions they need answered related to COVID-19, or the Town’s response to this pandemic, I want to encourage them to contact us via e-mail and we'll do our best to assist them.”
