After receiving multiple traffic complaints, Oxford OPP have arrested a driver for driving while impaired.
(ZORRA TOWNSHIP) - Police were able to locate and arrest an impaired driver thanks to traffic complaints received from members of the public.
At approximately 2:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 25, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Oxford Detachment, were dispatched to Road 60 in Zorra Township to locate a vehicle that was the subject of traffic complaints.
Police located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. After speaking to the driver, police observed further signs of impairment and made an arrest.
After conducting testing at the detachment a 53-year-old of Ingersoll, has been charged with operation while impaired, operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration over 80, as well as dangerous operation.
The accused has been released and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, located in Woodstock, on July 16, 2024.
