An upcoming public meeting will take a look at the Trans Canada Trails Extension Project.
TILLSONBURG - Oxford County and the Town of Tillsonburg are hosting a public meeting to give residents an update on the Trans Canada Trail extension project.
Work will start this spring on developing approximately 27 kilometres of on and off-road trail between the Town of Tillsonburg and Norfolk County. Supervisor of Engineering Services with Oxford County Frank Gross tells Heart FM why the extension will be beneficial to residents.
"It closes the gap in the Trans Canada trail and it provides an off road connection for cycling and hiking and other activities."
Gross says they will provide residents with an update on the project, a construction timeline and an update on landowner meetings.
"Well the intent of the meeting is to provide an update to people who attend meetings last fall and to anyone, the general public that are interested in the project to provide an update on the progress we have made since those meetings back in November."
The meeting is happening on Wednesday May 4th from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Tillsonburg Complex in the Marwood Lounge.
