The initial report suggests changes to the attendance areas for East Oxford Central Public School, Emily Stowe Public School, and Central Public School
WOODSTOCK/NORWICH - East Oxford Central Public School is bursting at the seams.
In order to address this, the Thames Valley District School Board has started the East Oxford Elementary Panel Attendance Area Review.
Possible solutions to the high enrollment issue include possibly changing the attendance areas for East Oxford Central Public School, Emily Stowe Public School, and Central Public School. You can read the initial report online here.
This means each school will have it's own Attendance Area Review (AARC) Committee and local parents and caregivers are invited to join so they can get involved in the public consultation process. They have until March 27th at 8:00 a.m. to submit an Expression of Interest Form.
Once the committees are formed, they will share information and collect feedback from their local communities before the final report is shared with all committee members and posted on the school board's website this fall.
It's important to note that any changes to an attendance area must undergo public consultation and receive board Supervisor approval beforehand. This means the earliest the board would be able to implement anything as a result of this review, would be the 2027-2028 school year.
You can find more information about the East Oxford Elementary Panel Attendance Area Review online here.
