Enrollment balancing is being talked about for three schools in Oxford County.
OXFORD COUNTY - The public is being asked for feedback from the trustees of Thames Valley District School Board.
Trustees supported plans to get thoughts from the public on the Oxford South Elementary Panel Attendance Area Review initial report. The report has information on options that would balance enrolment at three schools in Oxford County. Those schools are; Annandale Public School, South Ridge Public School, and Westfield Public School.
Going forward there would have to be an Attendance Area Review Committee put together along with school-level sub-committees with parent or guardian representatives from each affected elementary school. Meetings would have to be held with the school communities, which would be hosted by the sub-committees and the meetings would gather public feedback about the options under consideration.
Changes to the boundaries would only move forward after the public was talked to and the Trustees approving the process. The soonest any changes would come into place would be September 2026.
