Three men have been charged after Oxford OPP seized $1.4 million in marijuana and cocaine in Norwich Township.
NORWICH TOWNSHIP - Three men have been arrested following a massive drug bust in Norwich Township.
Earlier this week Oxford OPP uncovered $4 million dollars worth of marijuana and cocaine at a sophisticated indoor grow operation on Oxford Road 55. Today police have announced they have arrested three people in relation to the bust. They are 33 year old Cao Kui of Flushing, New York, U.S.A along with 40 year old Tung Wang of Toronto and You Zhang of Toronto.
Both men charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with the following:
Produce a Schedule II substance – (cannabis marihuana)
Possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of Trafficking – over 3 kilograms
Possession of a Schedule I substance – Cocaine
All males were also charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with the following:
Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
Breach of Firearms Regulation - Store Firearm or Restricted Weapon
Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition
Possession of Prohibited of Restricted Firearm/Ammunition
Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
All three males appeared for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock.
