Southwestern Public Health is reporting 2 more residents have died at Maple Manor in Tillsonburg. They also confirmed 40 new cases today and 40 recoveries.
OXFORD/ST.THOMAS/ELGIN - Southwestern Public Health is reporting 2 more residents have died at Maple Manor in Tillsonburg.
This brings the total number of residents who have passed away with COVID-19 at the long term care home to 9. A total of 5 residents have also passed away at PeopleCare in Tavistock.
The Health Unit confirmed 40 new cases of the virus today and 40 recoveries.
We currently have 16 people in the hospital with the virus, including 3 in the ICU. We currently have 352 active cases with most of them in Tillsonburg, Woodstock, Aylmer and St. Thomas. Here is the breakdown of the locations according to Southwestern Public Health:

The Health Unit is also reporting 10 active outbreaks at long term care homes. The outbreak at the Maple Manor Nursing Home in Tillsonburg has 58 residents who have tested positive for the virus and 41 staff members after the Health Unit confirmed 1 new case today. The outbreak at PeopleCare in Tavistock now includes 35 residents and 30 staff members after the health unit confirmed 2 new cases today.
