The bidding wars will be fierce at this year's United Way Oxford Online Auction.
OXFORD COUNTY - United Way is getting ready to host their annual Online Auction.
Some of the items on the auction block this year include a $500 travel credit through VIA rail, a flight in a Harvard Aircraft, and a signed Jake Muzzin jersey. They also have tickets for the Leafs, Jays, and Raptors up for grabs. T
Resource Coordinator Jennifer Belleth says the auction will get underway on December 5th at 8 a.m. and the bidding can get quite intense.
"It's very busy in those last few hours but it's a very good time as you watch your bidding. People often get excited because they've won their bidding but that will close at 4 p.m. on December the 9th."
The web based auction managed to raise over $11,000 for United Way last year.
Belleth tells Heart FM they hope to raise even more money this year.
"We would definitely like to raise above $12,000 this year. We just continue to see it grow each single year and it is amazing how the community jumps on board and it's a great way to shop for Christmas items."
