Woodstock Police are warning the public that thieves are going into locker rooms in the Friendly City to steal your keys and then are simply driving away with your car.
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police are warning the public about a spike in vehicle thefts in the City.
The thieves are going into local businesses and entering locker rooms to get a hold of your keys and then simply driving away. Police are asking local businesses with locker rooms to make sure your doors are secure to non-public areas of the building, especially, change rooms, lunch rooms and locker areas.
While employees should ensure that purses and jackets are locked away and locker doors secured. If possible keep valuables at home, and vehicle keys on your person.
Similar precautions should be taken while working out at the gym or attending sports arenas.
