Bowling, Grand Theft Auto, Mischief and Assaulting Police officers all made up for one wild date night in Ingersoll.
INGERSOLL - A couple from Ingersoll are facing a laundry list of charges after police say they stole a car from the Ingersoll Lanes Bowling Alley.
Police got the initial report about the stolen car late Saturday Afternoon. The pair allegedly stole a 2003 Ford Explorer after a game of bowling. After leaving Ingersoll in the Ford Explorer the couple were spotted at the Mac's Milk gas bar in Thamesford later that afternoon and actually damaged the windshield washing fluid stand and one of the buildings rain downspouts while reversing in the parking lot.
Then about an hour later police got a traffic complaint about man who appeared to be drinking and driving in the Independent Grocer parking lot and weaving all over the road in Ingersoll.
Police got another call 45 minutes later about the same vehicle that hit a fence on a property on Road 62 and they kept going. They then got another call at 6:44 about the same couple stealing $40 worth of gas in Thamesford.
OPP finally caught up with the joy riders after canvassing the Thamesford area. They found the stolen vehicle parked and un-occupied at the intersection of Finlayson Drive and Stanley Street in Thamesford. At this time a passing motorist stopped to tell police about a suspicious man pacing back and forth on the sidewalk in the area and police eventually found the couple at a parked trailer in that area. Three officers were assaulted during the arrest, their injuries were minor in nature.
Charged is Logan HOLDEN, 31-year-old male, of Ingersoll with the following Criminal Code of Canada offences:
Theft of Motor Vehicle
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000
Mischief under $5,000 ( 2 counts)
Theft under $5,000
Assault with Intent to Resist Arrest
Also charged is Katie LONGLADE, 31-year-old female, of Ingersoll with the following Criminal Code of Canada offences:
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000
Theft under $5,000
Mischief under $5,000
Assault with Intent to Resist Arrest (2 counts)
