The West Region OPP is sending out a reminder to drivers. With the temperatures below freezing and snow falling, flash freezing is possible, which could make roads icy.
OXFORD COUNTY - Some winter weather is hitting Oxford County.
In a Facebook post, OPP West Region Sergeant, Ed Sanchuck has this message.
"Unfortunately, it is snowing out, the roadways are wet. There is a possibility of a flash freezing as the temperatures continue to drop."
Sanchuck is also sending out a huge reminder to those driving on the roads as the temperatures drop.
"Please take your foot off that gas pedal. The last thing you need is to have a police officer knocking on your door saying you have been seriously injured or you're deceased for failure to reduce your speed."
The forecast in Oxford County is calling for more flurries tonight, and temperatures at a low of minus 7 and feeling like minus 15 overnight.
