OLG has presented the Woodstock with a fourth quarter payment of $346,247.
WOODSTOCK - The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation has issued a fourth quarter payment of $346,247 to the city of Woodstock.
OLG gives these payments to all of their host cities, in order to help support programs and services that benefit the community. Finance Minister Charles Sousa explains other common uses for the money.
"Along with supporting local development, these funds directly benefit vital public services such as health care and education in communities across Ontario."
Over the past 15 years, Woodstock has received over $16,000,000 in non tax gaming revenue from OLG. The gaming corporation is also the provinces largest source of tax revenue, bringing in about $2,000,000,000 annually.
