The Woodstock Hospital will be limiting their entrances to help with the screening process in order to contain the spread of COVID-19 beginning on Monday, March 23rd.
WOODSTOCK - Starting on March 23rd, the Woodstock Hospital will be limiting their entrances in order to help with the screening process in their effort to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
Their main entrance will be open from 7:00 am - 8:00 pm and the entrance to the Emergency Department will be open from 8:00 pm - 7:00 am.
The Atholone Avenue entrance will only be used by dialysis and chemotherapy patients and when these patients press on the intercom, the security will let them in.
Once they are inside, the patients will put on a face mask, sanitize their hands and go directly to their appropriate treatment area where they will be screened by staff.
The hospital has a no visitor policy in place. Companions should not be with the patient unless they are required for reasons such as a disability. Exceptions are on a case-by-case basis.
Staff at the hospital have been told to go through a separate entrance where they will be screened. All of these measures are in place to protect staff, patients and the broader community.
