During his first court appearance this morning, it was revealed that the sexual assault with choking charge against Mayor Trevor Birtch has been dropped and replaced with a sexual assault charge.
WOODSTOCK/LONDON - Woodstock Mayor Trevor Birtch had his first court appearance in London this morning.
This was in relation to the charges laid against him in early February; assault, sexual assault and sexual assault with choking.
During the virtual court appearance, it was revealed that the sexual assault with choking charge has been dropped and replaced with a sexual assault charge.
The matter was adjourned to June 6th.
London Police also charged Mayor Birtch with three counts of sexual assault in relation to a separate incident last month. Birtch will answer to those charges on June 4th.
