Woodstock Police briefs include an impaired driver, a shoplifter, and two people wanted by the Waterloo Regional Police Service.
WOODSTOCK - What started as an investigation into a wanted person turned into three separate arrests.
Woodstock Police officers spotted their suspect in the Perry Street area early last Wednesday morning.
The person took off, but the officers were able to track him down and arrest him. The 37-year-old man from Kitchener was wanted by the Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) and he's now facing charges in Woodstock as well. They include flight from a peace officer, operation while prohibited, and failure to comply with a release order.
The officers also came across a 37-year-old woman who was also wanted by the WRPS, so she was arrested.
The officers also managed to spot someone who matched the description of a man who had been involved in a theft on Norwich Ave earlier that evening. Police say he was also wearing the stolen merchandise with the price tag still attached, so the 42-year-old man from Woodstock was charged with shoplifting.

Woodstock Police officers pulled a vehicle over on Dundas Street shortly after midnight on Saturday. Testing found that the driver had a blood alcohol concentration above the legal limit, so he was arrested and charged.
He's facing one count of operation while impaired by alcohol and drugs and one count of operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration over 80. He's also facing a licence suspension and his vehicle was impounded as well.
