Some community members stopped to watch Saturday's news conference by Woodstock's civic leaders. Frank Bassner and his wife Paula watched the verdict come in on Friday night and says "we were extremely relived about what happened. I mean, we also feel so hard for the parents. I mean it's a terrible situation but thankfully justice was done and this went the right way." Mark Perry was at City Hall watching with his family. He's one of Tori Stafford's uncles and while he too senses some relief, Mark believes the healing won't happen overnight. "It's going to take a long time, I mean it's a small knit community, I've lived here most of my life, come and gone but I mean it will, it will take a long time." Mark's son Jacob was not only a cousin, but also a fellow classmate of Tori's. "I go home and cry sometimes but I get through it." Jacob says he'll always remember Tori by wearing a purple bracelet. The next chapter in this story will come on Tuesday when Michael Rafferty is sentenced, and family members read their victim impact statements.
