Woodstock residents respond to the possible phase 2 of the work to rule campaign for public elementary teachers.
OXFORD COUNTY - The next phase of the work to rule campaign has been announced as kids prepare to return to the classroom for another school year.
If an agreement cannot be met before September 7th the Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario won't allow teachers to participate in field trips as well as fundraising activities. Heart FM took to the streets of Woodstock's to find out what the public thinks of the new announcement. With cutbacks being made extra-curricular activities like sports will continue however meet the teacher nights will not as the federation attempts to protect 76,000 elementary public school teachers. They will return to the bargaining table on September 1st but if nothing comes of it, the phase will be implemented that will effect thousands of students here in Oxford County.
