The City of Woodstock is already working on the Patullo Road project, which is expected to create more businesses and bring more jobs to the Friendly City.
WOODSTOCK - The Patullo Ridge Road project is among the biggest projects expected for this year.
The industrial development project was one of the major talking points coming out of the latest council meeting last Thursday.
Chief Administrative Officer David Creery says the project will cost $10 million dollars, which come out of this year's $29.5 million dollar budget.
"$8 million dollars is related to the direct cost of servicing. There's a further $2 million dollars that's estimated, which represents an oversizing of a sanitary sewer pumping station."
The project is currently in phase 2 and will cover 92 acres of land.
Creery adds it will bring in more jobs to the community.
"The more jobs we have, the more people will choose to live in Woodstock. The more people who choose to live in Woodstock, the more potential you have for commercial growth and so this builds on itself and we believe it is very important."
