A fire suppression valve failure triggered the sprinkler system, causing water damage in some areas.
INGERSOLL - Sixteen Woodingford Lodge residents are being temporarily housed and cared for at Alexandra Hospital Ingersoll.
The county says they were evacuated from the long-term care home at around 7:20 p.m. yesterday, after a fire suppression valve failure caused the sprinkler system to go off. Water damage has been reported in some areas.
Firefighters assisted in the partial evacuation, and Woodingford is in the process of notifying all of the residents family members.
The residents are still being cared for by Woodingford staff in addition to hospital staff members.
