The Brewers beat the Rays 4-1 last night, winning the best-of-seven championship series 4-1.
FLORIDA - For the first time in franchise history, the Milwaukee Brewers are World Series champions!
The Brewers celebrated a 4-1 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays at Tropicana Field last night, after Jacob Misiorowski threw five-and-two-thirds scoreless innings of two-hit ball and rookie Cooper Pratt got two RBIs.
Milwaukee won the best-of-seven series 4-1 in the end.
The Brewers only suffered two losses throughout their entire post season run, 4-3 to the San Diego Padres in the National League Division Series, and a 4-3 extra innings loss to the Rays in Game 4 of the World Series on Tuesday.
This may be the first World Series championship for the Brewers, but it's not a first for the city of Milwaukee. The Braves franchise won it while they were based in Milwaukee back in 1957.
