The total number of cases climbs to 40,565 in Ontario after 106 cases were reported today. There was one new death reported as well and 36,873 resolved cases.
ONTARIO - There are 106 cases of COVID-19 reported in Ontario.
The number of cases overall across the province stands at 40,565.
5,905 of the cases are reported to be from residents living in long-term care homes while 2,614 of them are reported to be from healthcare workers associated with long-term care outbreaks.
One death was reported today and now brings the provincial death toll to 2,789. Also, there were 36,873 resolved cases.
1,800 of the deaths are reported to be from residents living in long-term care homes and eight of the deaths are from healthcare workers in long-term care homes.
2,558,839 tests have been completed so far and 33,852 are currently under investigation.
Right now there are 39 people hospitalized with the virus with 17 people in ICU and there are ten people in ICU on a ventilator.
