It was a great opening weekend for the Tavistock Braves and the Thamesford Trojans, but a rough one for the Norwich Merchants.
PJHL - The PJHL season is officially underway!
The Norwich Merchants hosted their home opener against the Tavistock Braves at Nor-Del Arena on Friday. Tavistock won 4-1 in the end with Jacob Skuta scoring twice for the Braves. Yann Raskin and Carson Bernhardt also found the back of the net for Tavistock, while Tyler McDole scored the lone goal for Norwich.
The Merchants were back in action on Saturday, with a road game against the Paris Mounties. Gavin Balazs scored for Norwich, but the Mechants still suffered a 5-1 loss in the end.
Over in the Yeck Division, The Thamesford Trojans suffered a 3-2 loss to the Exeter Hawks at South Huron Arena on Friday. Kyle Dolmage and Connor Clark scored for the Trojans.
The Braves will host their home opener against the New Hamburg Firebirds this Friday, while the Trojans host their home opener against the Lucan Irish on Saturday. The Merchants will also be back at home on Friday, for another matchup against Paris.
