New Woodstock Police cruisers will have a white design moving forward.
WOODSTOCK - It's a new look for the Woodstock Police Service.
The local police force is in the process of replacing some of the cruisers in its fleet, so it's taking this opportunity to update the design.
Media Relations Officer Pritpal Thind says they're replacing the blue design with a white one.
"It's clean, it's modern and it gives our police markings very strong visibility on the road. This is one of the designs that was voted as a finalist by our officers."
The police service has about 20 cruisers and Thind says four of them have the white design right now.
"It will be a gradual transition, so residents will see the existing blue cruiser design and the new white design on the road as we replace our vehicles and update our fleet."
Thind says this is just a new look for the police force and nothing will be changing from an operational standpoint.
