UPDATE (2:30PM) - OPP say the Eastbound 401 will remain closed for several hours for investigation. Traffic is being diverted off the EB 401, onto Highway 403. Police have not confirmed the transport driver has been killed, but they are calling it a "recovery effort". A rescue operation is underway this hour after a transport truck left the highway, and plunged into the Nith River. The highway is being closed to Eastbound traffic, east of Highway 2, as emergency crews tend to the scene. The transport truck is said to be submerged in water, and Woodstock Fire Crews are en-route for an underwater rescue operation. Heart FM will have more details as they come in.
