Tomorrow's Radiothon will feature some amazing interviews and testimonials from patients and staff throughout the day. You can call in or text thanks to 45678 to donate.
WOODSTOCK - The Give Thanks to the Woodstock Hospital Radiothon will take over the airwaves on Heart FM tomorrow.
Things will look a little different this year as they will not have visitors coming to the hospital for the donation.
Senior Development Officer with the Woodstock Hospital Foundation Jocelyn Jenner says they have a new way to donate this year.
"We have introduced a text option this year, so individuals can text thanks to 45678 and that way they are able to donate through their phone bill."
Jenner says all of the money raised this year will go towards the critical care unit.
"They have a few different equipment needs that we will be supporting. We will be purchasing some lifts to help move patients, crash carts for the units and a medication refrigerator, which will help keep the medication on that unit. Obviously our critical care unit is where we see our most critical patients, a lot of trauma is coming in through that unit and people on that unit clearly need a lot of support and a lot of specialized equipment to keep them stable during their visit here."
The Radiothon will feature some amazing interviews and testimonials throughout the day. You will hear from former patients and family members of patients at the unit, along with staff and physicians who have worked at the unit.
Last year they raised $27,000 and the goal is to match that total once again this year.
There are 3 different ways to show your support this year!
Text THANKS to 45678 (Available All Of October) after you text thanks, you will get a reply asking how much you would like to donate.
The phone number to call is 519-421-4255 or visit here to donate online.
