92 percent of Oxford's business owners think Kathleen Wynne's government is on the wrong track.
OXFORD COUNTY - MPP Ernie Hardeman has released the results of his business survey and it looks like a lot of Oxford entrepreneurs are not happy with the Ontario Liberals.
A record number of business owners responded this year and 92 percent of them believe the government is on the wrong track.
Hardeman says that's a 12 percent increase when compared to last year.
"One would think that last year the number was so high and that bothered me. Now to see it increasing; people just can't see that the things that are happening aren't solving any of their problems."
Hardeman says 74 percent of entrepreneurs have noticed increased hydro prices.
"The government has been changing some of the policies in how they were charging for hydro but it doesn't seem to have made a great difference to most of the businesses. The changes they made were made in such a way that they didn't impact positively on very many."
67 percent of business owners said the increased prices have forced them to make changes to their business, which include having to cut staff hours.
Hardeman presented the survey results to the legislature on Thursday. He hopes the government will look over the information in the coming days and see if there is a way to address the issues.
