The Big Brothers Big Sisters Trivia of Oxford County Trivia Night was a huge success this year, raising close to $16,000 for youth mentorship programs in our community.
WOODSTOCK - Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oxford County hosted a very successful Trivia Night at Goff Hall in Woodstock.
Twenty-seven teams were there on Saturday March 25th with about 200 people participating.
Executive Director Kristen Ralph says it was the team from United Way Oxford, also known as the United Masterminds, who won it all in the end.
"It was their first time winning and they were very excited! They are already planning to continue their reign for next year."
The Smarty Pants team finished in second place and they were only one point behind United Way. The No Eye Deers finished in third place, and they only had one point separating them from the Smarty Pants.
Ralph is excited to share the fundraising total with the community.
"We raised almost $16,000 at the Trivia Night this year and that money will go directly into our mentoring programs."
The Trivia Night was originally supposed to happen on Friday March 3rd, but the event had to be postponed due to the weather.
