United Way Oxford is collecting donations for a meal drive ahead of it's Day of Caring on Thursday June 3rd.
OXFORD COUNTY - United Way Oxford will be hosting it's Day of Caring online this year.
It's set to take place on Thursday June 3rd and Resource Development Coordinator Mike Crabbe says they're encouraging people to donate to a great local cause.
"We are prompting our community to see if they can help with meal drive. You can donate $10 which will provide a meal to someone in need in our community."
You can donate through the United Way Oxford website and they're hoping to provide up to 100 meals for people in need in our community. You can also donate to the local Supplies 4 Students program.
Crabbe is also encouraging people to pay it forward; whether it's paying for someone else's order in the drive thru, supporting a local business or writing a letter to an isolated senior. He says we need to find ways to support each others during these tough times.
"Everyone has had so much separation from one to another and it's really tough to find those opportunities to feel togetherness and support local. That's why we're excited about this event this year because we're missing that in our community right now."
