All Oxford County candidates are heading to Ingersoll for another public debate hosted by Unifor Local 88
INGERSOLL - Unifor Local 88 is hosting a second all candidates debate in Ingersoll.
President Dan Borthwick says although their first debate was meant for just union members, they are encouraging the public to come out to this one. "All the questions will come from the floor. That will continue until about quarter to nine, so the event starts at seven and will go to quarter to nine, and then at that time we will ask the candidates to make a closing remark."
Borthwick says topics can cover anything from infrastructure to health care and anything the public wants to ask the candidates about. "The questions are not specifically around the union and Unifor and stuff that pertains to us directly. The questions come from the public and can be on various topics."
This debate will be held on October 7th from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Unifor Hall in Ingersoll.
Borthwick encourages everyone from Ingersoll and Oxford to come out, get to know the candidates, and make an educated vote on October 19th.
