Two Woodstock women ran through humid conditions in the Boston Marathon today. Sarah Harmer finished in 4:19:08 -- that is 4-hours, 19-minutes and 8-seconds. Kristen Carne finished right along with her at 4:19:09. Canada's Josh Cassidy raced to victory in the Boston Marathon wheelchair division. The 27-year-old from Oakville, Ontario, crossed the finish line in a world-record time, beating the previous mark by two seconds. The marathon recorded some of the slowest finishing times in recent years, likely due to very humid conditions that blanketed the northeastern US. Meantime, a member of the Woodstock Cycling Club has won an international road cycling race. Ryan Roth won the "Tro Bro Leon" race in France on Sunday. The grueling 1-day road race covers some 206kms. Roth completed the race in 5-hours, 16-minutes and 40-seconds. Roth, who lives in Cambridge, is a from Huron Park graduate in Woodstock.
