There will be PA Day for TVDSB and LDCSB students on the Tuesday after Labour Day, so students will be back in the classroom on Wednesday September 6th.
TVDSB/LDCSB - It looks like students in Oxford County will have one extra day of summer vacation.
The Thames Valley District School Board and the London District Catholic School Board have both released their calendars for the upcoming school year, and the Tuesday after Labour Day is listed as a PA Day.
This means students will be back in the classroom on Wednesday September 6th.
According to an article in the London Free Press, Thames Valley associate director Linda Nicholls says this happens about every five years or so. But Craig Smith, the President of the TVDSB division of the Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario, told the newspaper that he couldn't remember the last time the first day of school fell on a Wednesday.
CSC Providence does not have a PA Day scheduled for Tuesday September 5th, so students going to Sainte-Marguerite-Bourgeoys and Notre Dame in Woodstock will be back in school that day.
