Former NDP Leader Andrea Horwath entering municipal politics.
Andrea Horwath is running for Mayor of Hamilton.
The former Ontario NDP Party Leader told reporters today that she plans to throw her hat into the race.
She also said she will resign from her position as MPP for Hamilton Centre so she can focus on the campaign.
A by-election will be held at a later date.
In June, Horwath stepped down as leader of the provincial NDP after failing to be elected as Premier.
