The Annandale National Historic Site has decided to cancel it's Pioneer Explorers Program for the April Spring Break but it will continue to offer the Historical Hunt Challenge.
TILLSONBURG - The Annandale National Historic Site has decided to cancel it's Pioneer Explorers Program for the April Spring Break.
Culture and Heritage Program Coordinator Kathleen Watkin explains why.
"The program involved people coming to the museum to pickup explorer boxes and the museum itself is closed so we wanted to ensure that everyone stays safe."
Watkin is hoping to offer the program again sometime over the summer. Those who already purchased one of the explorer activity boxes will be offered a refund or they could reserve their spot for the summer program.
Annandale will post pioneer themed activities on the Town of Tillsonburg Facebook page next week instead. It's free to participate and all of the activities can be safely done at home.
Watkin says they're still encouraging families to do the Historical Hunt Challenge this Spring Break as well.
"The scavenger hunt can still go on because it is something you can do just at home yourself or with your family. So we're still offering the scavenger hunt and people can still participate because everything is COVID safe with that."
You can find more information about the scavenger hunt and the Annandale National Historic Site online here.
