Thamesford has been eliminated and Woodstock leads its semifinal series with Norwich 3-2.
PJHL - The Battle of Highway 59 rages on in the Doherty Division playoffs
The Norwich Merchants doubled the Woodstock Navy Vets 4-2 at Nor-Del Arena on Friday, but Woodstock bounced back with a 3-1 victory at Southwood Arena on Saturday. Cooper Vickerman, Carson Littlejohn, and Kyle Arthur scored for the Navy Vets while Tyler Bouck made 29 saves to lead Woodstock to victory.
The Navy Vets are leading the best-of-seven semifinal series 3-2 and Game 6 will take place at Nor-Del Arena tomorrow evening. The puck drop is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. and the series will return to Southwood Arena for Game 7 on Wednesday if needed. The winner of the series will battle the Tavistock Braves in the Doherty Division Final.
Meanwhile in the Yeck Division, the season has ended for the Thamesford Trojans. They celebrated a 4-1 victory over the North Middlesex Stars on Friday, but they did suffer a 3-2 loss on Saturday and a 3-2 loss in triple overtime yesterday. Thamesford lost the semifinal series 4-1 in the end.
