Tickets are now available for a live auction and music at the Woodstock Legion.
WOODSTOCK - This year marks the 8th year for the Oxford Lions Club Auction for a good cause.
On February 16th from 8:00 p.m to midnight the Woodstock Royal Canadian Legion will be full of energy as the band Perry's Lane supplies music for a fun filled silent auction, food and entertainment. The proceeds from this event will go to VON Sakura House and more Lions projects in our community. Fundraising Chair, Steven Newton has more on the Valentines fundraiser.
"We have some fabulous silent auction items that come up. It's about the 8th year we have been involved in something along these lines. This year is a little bit more different, it's just more laid back, listening to music, having some finger foods and supporting a great cause."
Newton has more on where the money has gone and will go.
"Every dollar we make will go right to our projects, we are supporting Sakura House, we've also supported Lions Youth Exchange in the past, we've also the Wellington Animal Rescue Release Fund and various other projects in the community."
The tickets are $10 and can be bought at the Woodstock Royal Canadian Legion, along with any Lions Club Member.
