The combined Woodstock locations are hoping to raise $11,000, and as of 4 o'clock they were only 25% away from reaching that goal.
WOODSTOCK - It was another successfully year in the Friendly City when it comes to McHappy Day.
As of 4 o'clock, the Norwich Avenue location was in the lead with just over $4,800 raised, while the McDonalds on Dundas Street brought in nearly $3,400. One dollar from certain items on the menu is going to help to support children and families that attend various Ronald McDonald Houses. The event that is held annually is currently in its 22nd year with many flocking to locations all across the country to take part in the special cause. Just over $4.2 million was raised last year with this year hoping to be the biggest yet.
Woodstock is hoping to raise a combined $11,000 before the completion of McHappy Day at 4am tomorrow morning.
